Kevin Maher96 days agoWe would like to share our very positive experience with AR Windows. We previously had 2 x VELUX windows installed as part of a kitchen extension. In part due to poorly fitted tiles, we experienced some rain water damage (mold and rot) to our window frames. AR Windows were happy to give advice about our problem and we agreed that full replacements was the best option. The guys turned up on time and worked hard and accurately to install the new windows and frames promptly and properly. They also trimmed back the tiles so that there was a better fit adjacent to the window units. Job done - many thanks and highly recommended from us. K&A in High Wycombe.Posted on Google

She then honoured the quote months later when we were ready to proceed. Engineer arrived on time and did an excellent job. AR Windows fixed our Velux roof windows when the motor stopped working and fitted external heat blocking blinds. Jordan was very friendly and efficient. Docked one star because it took quite a lot of emails to get things arranged and for the invoice to be sent through. But if you're not in a hurry and are prepared to be a bit persistent, it's fine!Posted on Google

Corina Popov433 days agoPossibly make it clear on your website that you are not doing new installs for Velux windows. Wasted a few days to find this out as not answering any calls or emails. Update in reply to your response - you told me you don’t do new installs. If the size requested wasn’t the one in line with Velux sizes, you could’ve just offer an alternative, like other companies did. Sadly, your loss! Update - answering to your reply, you did not tell me you don't do that size, you told me you don't take new installs! No alternatives were offered anyway. Not professional!Posted on Google

Came out quickly to do the quote, very knowledgeable with what would be the best option for the blinds. They arrived on the day of installation on time, protected all our furniture and hoovered everything up afterwards. Other than the new windows you wouldn't know they'd been! Alex604 days agoThank you to the team at AR windows in Aylesbury. We had a leak coke through out conservatory roof where our vulux windows were. The team were easily contactable, they got back to me and came round the next day to look at the problem. I know how busy they can get so to be seen the next day I was greatful. They diagnosed the problem straight away and fixed within 5 minutes and we've had no more leaks. Sign of a professionals. From the get go very friendly and explained what the issue was. wayne barclay755 days agoAR windows were fantastic, from the original consultation with Jordan, to dealing with Tara for invoicing and requests. As I was working abroad during the install, I had several emails back and fourth which I am sure was a bit annoying, but all of my emails were answered extremely professionally and set my mind at ease (even if I did forget to tell my wife who was at home that they were installing three new windows which was a bit of a shock to her). My wife was extremely impressed with the professionalism shown by the team who arrived and is over the moon with the results and the fact she doesn't have to fight with the window to get it open now. I would recommend to everyone to use these, as they were honest throughout the consultation and gave us numerous options for the work to be carried out - will use AR Windows again, and will be signing up for the annual service they provide too.Posted on Google

peter saunders889 days agoAfter having a terrible time trying to place an order with Velux directly, I gave up trying and found AR Windows instead. We had a Velux window replaced and an additional window fitted. The service from AR Windows was excellent from first contact to getting the work done. The engineers (and their recommended plasterer) were obviously very experienced and did an excellent job, leaving the house clean & tidy afterwards. All the team were very friendly. Kenneth Ross1200 days agoWe used this company on the recommendation of neighbours. They have very nearly replaced Velux windows to all properties on the small housing development we live on. The original windows were approaching 50 years old and the glazing units had started to fail, the wooden frames had also started to swell. The white UPVC replacements were fitted over 2 days and let more light in, the frames are narrower than the original wooden ones. What a difference. The fitters were professional, very tidy, left no mess, arrived at the times stated. We will have no hesitation in recommending this company or indeed to have them back in the future for any additional work.Posted on Google

shola omogbehin1246 days agoAR WWindows carried out installation service at our house on 04/04/23 which included replacement installation of 3 x velux windows in the loft extension. We found both the lead installer, Jordan and his support, Mark to be exceptional. They were very conscientious throughout the installation. They were super efficient and the windows were flawlessly insitu by the time they left. They even went the extra mile by installing the velux blinds I had bought for the windows. Both men were very respectful and mindful of our home environment. They left the whole place neat and tidy. After finishing, they even repositioned my office table where they thought it was prior to the works starting. They were very helpful. Jordan even gave me a helping hand with putting the sizeable bed in the loft room back to its original position. I was particularly impressed that after installing the windows, they made sure to fill and paint over any paint chips and scratches on the window frames. Janeeliza1248 days agoI had my skylight window replaced because the original window was draughty and it had to be opened manually which, at 85, I can no longer do. The guys visited me, did a quote which was most acceptable. Then they booked me in for a couple of weeks time but, because of a cancellation were able to install the window sooner. The guys were great - friendly but professional, punctual, they tidied up afterwards and managed to do the job in a couple of hours. I now have a lovely remote controlled velux window and no draught! They were able to fit us in quickly and, despite the poor weather, the whole job was finished with care and respect. Caroline Picking1257 days agoIt’s great when you a find a true gem of a small company, and this is such a find. Fast, efficient, yet manages to leave you feeling like you’ve been friends for a while. They wouldn’t take a penny until the job was 100% complete. The job (of course) was excellent. The place was left how they found it. And I don’t know how it’s even possible to replace a Velux window without at least some cosmetic/paintwork damage around it - but they achieved it. ronald batts1320 days agoMy experience is that they do not reply to emails or update you at all . I only used them as I could not anybody else local to do the repair . I was waiting for a replacement glass over a month and then this was damaged on arrival no contact to tell me when it will finally fixed. Disappointing service .Posted on Google

John K. Cooper1652 days agoVery impressed with AR Windows prompt attention. A solar powered battery had failed on a motorised skylight blind in our main bedroom. A technician arrived within hours of my phone call - but was unable to fix it - a new blind would be required as the batteries were no longer manufactured by Velux. I was quoted for a new blind the same day but was informed that delivery could up to 12 weeks because of Covid delays. I decided to search the internet and found a company who still supplied these special replacement batteries . Tara at AR Windows said that if I could find a replacement they would come and install it. They carried out the works as scheduled and we are thrilled. We love that you can easily open and close the windows (solar remote control) and they look better than the old ones both internally and externally. BoxerfanUK1823 days agoWe needed a new Velux window fitting in our Dressing room as there wasn't one there previously, and we also wanted a much larger Velux fitting in our En-suite to replace the existing much smaller one which involved removing a rafter. I phoned around a few places, looked at some reviews and decided to invite AR windows (among others) to quote. Following their on-site survey which gave me confidence in them we decided to go ahead as they are also Velux 'accredited' installers. We had never used them previously but so glad we did. They turned up 20 minutes later, after a couple of minutes they had everything they needed. i received an email quote within hours. I accepted the quote. They confirmed they were arriving a couple of days before they were due to install. They turned up. 90 minutes later - no mess, no fuss, a perfect window was installed in place of the old wodden one. Leaks had developed around the windows and we established through Velux that we had the wrong flashing kits fitted from the original build. AR Windows replaced the flashings with the correct ones. Mitesh P2264 days agoI had some Velux roof windows with broken bars, manual ones that I wanted to convert to motorised to work off a remote control due to the high ceiling height, and one which is mains wired but the transformer had blown over time. The guys came out to quote efficiently, advised on what I could do to make all motorised running off a remote and then went back, ordered all the parts, came out and did and produced exactly what I required. The professionalism and service was excellent, the communication and responsiveness was top and the price was very competitive.
